Across the globe, savings group practitioners and members are increasingly using digital tools to manage group records, conduct financial transactions, and promote access to formal finance. Yet many actors in the sector are unaware of the resources needed to digitize savings groups in an effective, safe, and inclusive manner. This webinar will explore key trends and considerations in the digital savings group (DSG) space and launch the DSG Hub — a new online learning and community platform for anyone who is planning, implementing, developing technology for, or studying DSGs. We will also showcase three new resources developed for the DSG community: the DSG Glossary: Key Concepts and Terms, the DSG Technology Solutions Overview, and the DSG Toolkit: Tools to Support Safe and Gender-responsive Digitization of Savings Groups. Following the presentations and panel discussion, we will invite participants to a virtual networking session.
